Epox 8KHA/L/+ Motherboard Review
-- Tuesday, January 22, 2002
...and were off, cont. Memory
Benchmark
The results here are some what
surprising. As you can see, Epox has used the KT266 chipset efficiently
over the normal result. Other than that, the results are very similar to
the AMD 760 and the Ali Magik1. That's all folks Epox has the 1, 2 knockout punch here in the 8KHA
series. After all they have a great reputation to live up to, and they
surely do. The combination of ease of overclocking (jumper less, bios
settings), optimization of KT266/A chipset, performance, and price make
this series a surefire winner. Like with any new product, problems arise, such as
compatibility issues and USB failure. But the amazing support team at Epox
is always rectifying the small amount of problems as they arise. The Bios
page is constantly updated, and emails are usually answered in 1-2
business days. Epox is at the top of its game and is showing no sign
of letting up. If you are going to upgrade, go DDR. Even Intel CPUs have
jumped on the DDR bandwagon. If you are going AMD (which I use, cough)
then stick with the great combination from Epox and Via and choose the
8KHA+.
